Jumper

Post by MORDETH LESTOK »

Has anyone seen this? Came out last Thursday. Has Samuel L. Jackson and Anakin Skywalker...

The trailer looks awesome but the reviews tear it up. They said the 2 books are better to read...of course.

Kermode says it fails. That annekin skywalker tart is the main culprit apparently

Well we already know he can't act for shit. I'll put a vote in for FAIL.

I think I'm being dragged to this by the missus, I may divert her attention toward 'there will be blood' or similar because day lewis looks fucking mint in that.

I've been told it's total bollocks.
Trailer looks good though.

I saw this last night, and was just about to do a review. Too tired for full review, so summary is: fail.

The film lacks any substance whatsoever, and is entirely built around the fairly mediocre action bits. I wouldn't bother with it, just watch the first Matrix instead or something.

This sounds like my view versus the missus' view, I haven't seen the trailer, but I think it may be one of those films where all the best cgi/acting is in that short teaser. I'll sweep it.

I know two people who went and saw it separately and they both said it wasn't good at all.

Seen it, it fails. Every single bit of action is in the trailer, the rest of the film you're left wondering how they fail to explain how people can 'jump', and several other things are left completely unexplained. However the main confusing points are a). how does Hadien Christiansen (sp? er, emo-anakin) have an acting career and b). why did the awesomeness of Samuel L Jackson do this film since he is easily the best thing in it.
