Nations at War mod

It's not bad. New maps, skins, new and modified vehicles and lots of other adjustments, some of which suck but meh. It's far from perfect but it's good if you fancy a change. The trouble is it's several hundred mega worth of download, you'll need the client and all 3 map packs which you can get from the site above or this one:

Another plus is that there's actually servers online to play on. Always good.

Strangely, I have no interest ing BF2 mods at all. I guess it's because I love the regular game so much I don't think it needs mods.

But does it have vehicles made of LEGO?

On a sidenote, I saw BF2 for £19.99 in GAME yesterday, and I was quite tempted.

Actually to play it properly you'll need to download about 1.8GB, otherwise you'll find your game crashing or getting kicked out of servers because you don't have the next map. Not really worth it if you're not willing to download that much.

Here's my impressions from what I've seen so far:
- The new weapon loadouts can be fun if a bit messy, giving you a lot more toys to play with per class.
- Shoulder mounted stingers are great but very dangerous to both you and aircraft, don't fire them at ground targets if you don't want to suicide/TK.
- The urban maps are mostly good but the larger, open ones are sparse and unconvicing.
- There's loads of vehicles to play with and they are faster and in some cases harder to control.
- UAV and artillary are missing for some reason.
- No lego vehicles :(

I'll probably play it again but it's obviously not as good as any of the official beef stuff.

This is what I found, and I bought it and barely touched it since.

*checks profile*

Go on WEY - its ace. And even if it doesn't grab you by both testicles, its fairly cheap still.

From the pics it looks like theres a blackhawk with massive guns on it - should be right up your street Berk!

Think I'll go for the lego mod, but doubt I'll be tempted by anything else.

I don't remember seeing one of them helis with the big guns, maybe they are on a particular map that I havent played. Also I've just noticed a screenshot of a tank with a rocket launcher on the side firing a rocket that's twice the size of the launcher. Laws of Physics Hack!

edit: as we are leeching ...
