Pointe Du Hoc

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

Just played this level in SP for the first time (had the game for ages, but hadn't played the single player).

I have to say this is probably my favourite Single Player level/moment/experience ever, and I absolutely loved it.

I was a bit disapointed when I first fired up SP mode, and the first few russian levels were nothing new IMO.

Once things got going though, I absolutely love this game, and allthough I prefer UO to COD2 as a multiplayer game, COD2's single player experience is absolutely awesome.
Also the retreat to Point Du Hoc is brilliant too, as it's nice to see some real "choose your own path" style gameplay, and retreating and holding lines is not something that's ever been done that well before, and it was excellent.

Hopefully the last couple of levels are going to live up to this standard, and I cant wait till I next get chance to play the game. :excited:

Point Du Hoc is probably the high point IIRC. The game as a whole is a bit short but pretty good - it seems like they've thought "why bother just putting the same sort of level in over and over, why not just put the good ones in and not bother padding it out with crap".

They didn't quite succeed - most of the levels are fairly standard stuff - but they are all enjoyable.
