Thanks FatherJack and Dog Pants, you have to take credit for the whole idea though Dog Pants *bums* :)

My approach would be the same as FJs, tidy up if necessary and maybe some advice. I read Edge you know. /snobs

Should we have seperate threads for different reviews of the same game or put them in the same thread? Personally I'd go for the same thread expect for different platform versions maybe.

I'd guess depends how many we get, really, and the content of the reviews.

The PC/360 version of COD2 and COD2: The Big Red One on the older consoles are totally different games, whereas BF2 is supposed to be the same on any platform - if the reviewer mentions stuff specific to a particular format (like problems with control sticks, or excellent use of rumble technology) it might warrant it's own thread. Probably neater and less confusing to readers to have a thread per game, though.

Father Jack and Spoodie would get my vote.

What about doing hardware reviews for when you've bought a new piece of kit? A whole new can of worms I know, but was just a thought.

i figure it should be an all out reviews forum maybe specific subforums (like hardware, software, pc games, console games) if it gets big enough.

also there's the possibility of combining it with guides on stuff (like deject's cpu guides)

Forum has been setup with spoodie and fatherjack as a moderator, and all the console posts moved into the 5punk forum.

Can you get together and finalise the format of how to post a review, and then post a sticky with the basic rules/format for posting a review, so that everyone knows what to do.

A PC icon has been added to allow for PC games. Lets hope it becomes as successful as I think it will :)

Hmm not so sure on that one, I think they should reside the Hardware/Software forum narf.

I'm looking into a hack that allows for subforums on phpbb, and that may change the way things are laid out depending on how much hard work the mod' is

That way we could have a subforum underneath for games, movies, gadgets and so on.

Spoodie, I've PM'd you with a few ideas for the 'how-to' sticky.
