== What is it? ==

For those who are new to the concept:

Its a bring-your-own-pc jobby. Network will be provided.

An assortment of games will probably be played, CSS, BEEF, QUAKE, UT2004, C&C etc

There will be foods & booze, but best bring your favourites. Takeout will be ordered i expect at some point, and there are an assortment of local pubs/restaurants if we feel adventurous.
There are various available beds, and floor sleeping space is not an issue. Bring a sleeping bag & rollmat if you have one.

Best of all the animals. Well, FPS games.

Counterstrike is a very popular online first-person-shooter, back in the days of the original Half-Life it was pretty much the biggest online game ever.
Now, the new version that came out with Half-Life 2 is called Counterstrike:Source, or CSS or CS:S for short.

===Counterstrike Source===

This is 5punk's wednesday game. It has pretty much outright replaced the older version, Counterstrike 1.6

It has good graphics, and resonably fast paced, round-based gameplay. Its realistic for an online game, compared to Quake or UT for example.
Its is really quite good. If you havent got it, its well worth getting along with Half-Life 2. It uses the Valve Steam distribution system, which when working, makes updates etc very easy. However it also means that playing the game offline is tricky, and playing an unlicenced copy of it online is nigh impossible.

I have run a 5punk lan, and so a few people may have met me. If you werent there, you dont know what you missed! Jaffabomb haxhelmet teabagging etc...
I do plan to do another one at some point i think. (Stupid enough not to learn better)
