If it was not for lag, ping, memory, processor, PSU, Core Temp, HereComesPete and the fact that God seems to hate him, he would be the greatest FPS player in the world. Many feel that HereComesPete and Killavodka have a 'special' relationship all of their own given the frequency of their arguments. Loves Trevor the news guy because he's a dirty Russian spam bot.

====Ty aka Sir Die AloTy====
Ty is one of the more colourful 5punkers. Often less than coherent for various reasons, we love his drunken ramblings. Once sported an impressive mohican and loves metal more than most 5punkers love CAEK and bummings. He used to die a lot, but worryingly he's started to improve lately. Maybe he's sobering up.

====Jockgit====
Probably 5punk's most senior member, but only more mature chronologically. Jockgit is famous for being able to fall asleep when and where no others could, often as a result of copious amounts of cheap alcohol. ====Friznit====
Friz is another EvE'er and is currently running (ie, shouting lots) the Eve corporation 5punkorp. He's an ex Tank Commander in the British Army, so if you anger him too much he'll call in some favours and you'll find your house crushed and tank tread marks over your lawn. Has a penchant for ponies.

====Amblin====
Semi-retired EvE'er who has been partly groomed into playing computer games too, namely [[Call of Duty 4]]. He's also an expert in the art of Rainbow Kissing, ask him about it if you're curious.

====Baliame====
5punk's resident whiner, nothing is ever alright to him. Also considers <s>Lateralus</s> <s>Chicken</s> <s>Pete</s> all of the above his arch-nemesis. Comes from the country of constant hunger, Hungary. Due to an unpronounceable name, he is often called Mr. Bubbles, Derek, or just Bob. Believer and preacher of the Cow World Domination Cult. Will also turn into a communist at the slightest provocation and sing the 1944 Soviet Anthem.

The current most junior member of 5punk, and he probably lives up to it a lot.

He's an ex Tank Commander in the British Army, so if you anger him too much he'll call in some favours and you'll find your house crushed and tank tread marks over your lawn. Has a penchant for ponies.

====Amblin====
Semi-retired EvE'er who has been partly groomed into playing computer games too, namely [[Call of Duty 4]]. He's also an expert in the art of Rainbow Kissing, ask him about it if you're curious.

====Baliame====
5punk's resident whiner, nothing is ever alright to him. Also considers <s>Lateralus</s> <s>Chicken</s> <s>Pete</s> all of the above his arch-nemesis. Comes from the country of constant hunger, Hungary. Due to an unpronounceable name, he is often called Mr. Bubbles, Derek, or just Bob. Believer and preacher of the Cow World Domination Cult. Will also turn into a communist at the slightest provocation and sing the 1944 Soviet Anthem.

The current most junior member of 5punk, and he probably lives up to it a lot.

5punk comprises of two parts, the forum and the games. Banter is a large part of what 5punk is about, and it takes place in both and often overlaps. In game this is made more fluid by most of us using Teamspeak.

The games that are played come and go quite quickly as people try new ones then tire of them. However, some do endure and can earn a regular slot on the 5cheduler for months or years. BF2 is basically a First Person Shooter (FPS) game. It can be played in single-player mode with computer controlled enemies (or bots) providing the enemy force, however, this is only really useful as an off-line training mode. The real action in BF2 is in LAN or Internet based play.

Firstly, new players will be required to create a user account. This will serve as a login for the game (EA have also announced this same login can be transferred to the upcoming Battlefield 2142, the next title in the series), a login for EA Downloader and as a login for [http://www.fileplanet.com/ FilePlanet].

This account will maintain a record of all your stats, weapon unlocks and ranking data and provides stat geeks with something to read when not playing Beef. Not because it has the best graphics, the best gameplay or an amazing physics engine (in fact, physics generally doesn't exist in CoD and if you read carefully you will find this noted in Einstein's Theory of General Relativity), but just because it is enormous fun to run around shooting people whilst talking complete and utter gibberish over [[TeamSpeak]].

'''Call of Duty 2''' is the newer shinier version of CoD, it features an excellent single player campaign and a multiplayer game very similar to the original Call of Duty. The differences between Call of Duty 2 and United Offensive are the reasons why it is not as popular. In Call of Duty 2 you cannot run, in Call of Duty 2 you cannot [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooking_off#Grenades cook grenades] (Cooking grenades is pulling the pin before throwing in order to shorten the time before detonation enabling you to time the throw so that your target has no time to escape), in Call of Duty 2 you do not gain ranks (In United Offensive the ranking system gives more grenades, the addition of satchel charges and artillery strikes based upon your score), in Call of Duty 2 you cannot drive vehicles (Popular in United Offensive but not often played at 5punk due to the large numbers of players required to make vehicle maps effective, although nothing beats hurtling around in a jeep like a madman beeping your horn!). That is not to say that Call of Duty 2 is not an enjoyable game, it has some excellent new maps and the addition of the popular Shotgun or Trenchgun as it is called in game. We have tried out several game Mods with our Call of Duty 2 server to add the facility to run and cook grenades (and have gay pink smoke) but it hasn't quite managed to replace the glorious United Offensive in the hearts of 5punkers, even the addition of flying bath and piano artillary as Team Kill punishments hasn't managed to overthrow UO!!.

==The Juicy Bits==

CoD probably epitomizes the 5punk ethos more than any other game - it's not about how many points you get, it's about having fun. In fact you will notice that no description has been given of the game itself so far - that's because in all honesty, it doesn't matter.

Although games such as [[Counterstrike|CS:S]] and [[Battlefield 2|BEEF]] are more popular, the TeamSpeak conversations during CoD have probably given rise to more hilarity, 5punk in-jokes and general surrealism than any other games put together. It is of course impossible to recreate the atmosphere of a CoD night TeamSpeak session, but below are a few of the things you might want to listen out for if you decide to join in.

OFP is one of the older but still one of the best modern era FPS's out there. OPF focuses more on low level tactics than MMO's like BEEF and requires thought, teamwork and combined arms cooperation to achieve mission success. The recently released sequel, Armed Assault, is very similar in intent but fixed alot of the grievances that were present in the original.
