''The Gallente Federation encompasses several races, the Gallenteans the largest by far. The Federation is democratic and very liberal in a world full of dictators and oligarchies. The Caldari State was once part of the Federation, but a severe dispute resulted in their departure and a long war between the Gallente Federation and the Caldari State. The Gallenteans are the masters of pleasure and entertainment and their rich trade empire has given the world many of its most glorious and extravagant sights.''

Seriously, though, we French are zee nutz. Heavy on drones and hybrid guns (Rails ans blasters) and light on missiles and known to be tough to fit without the requisite skills, the Gallente often consider themselves to be playing EVE on "hard" compared to Minnie and (especially) Caldari (missile spamming couch taters) but put the effort in and these most beautifully crafted ships will serve you well.

'''Notes:''' This setup seems like one of the best around for the taranis, does around 170dps and the neutrons plus null ammo give you decent enough range for fighting other inties when your range varies alot. The damage control makes full use of your large structure hp effectively doubling it. You can swap the dc for a mag stab if you really want to but it only adds about 15dps.

'''Notes:''' I have not yet tested this in PvP, but it pisses all over L2 missions (as it should) and hits consistently well from 2k up to 45k once you have the requisite ammo loaded. Missile launcher is there for want of something better, tbh, especially as my missile skills are teh lose. I think if you train the missile range skills up enough, you could get a T2 Rocket launcher hitting at 10k, which would complement the 125s nicely. The fit calls out an AB, but MWD should fit. That said, I haven't tested the effect on cap but I expect it would not be good
'''Notes;''' Celestis gets a bonus to sensor dampening, so that's what this fit is for. It is a fleet role with a heavy passive tank. This will give you an extra cycle on the dampeners when you get called primary, but whatever tank you fit; once you get called primary, you ''are'' leaving in a pod so concentrate on staying in the fight and dealing damage or denial as long as you can. I was using a fit with MAR and 800mm plate instead but found that I couldn't run the MAR long enough to make a difference once I started taking damage anyway.
This fit, however, comes from the self declared legend Butter Dog and while his ego may be bigger than the Titan he aspires to, he does seem to know a thing or 2 about ship fitting. The one downer about this fit is it is pricey (about 11M loss after insurance, depending on the dmg ctrl and EANM you choose) so don't fly it unless you can afford to lose it.
Notes; This will tank pretty much any belt spawn so long as you have good cap skills and named cap chargers in the mids. I ran with 3x FB-10 and 2x Eutectics. I rekon you could drop one for an AB or drone mod if you use (ie can afford) T2 cap chargers. Carry a range of ammo for the guns to suit range (Lead will give you about 30km opt) but the majority of your damage output will come from your drones.
'''Notes:''' The megathron works best in gank mode, the hyperion on the other hand works best in tank mode. With armour rep amount rigs and bs lvl 4 you have the equivalent of 4 large armour reps. The DPS isnt as good as the neutronthron but you're still putting out a nice 6-700dps.

'''Notes;''' The focus here is on range and DPS. For fleet sniping you'll need a range of at least 150km. No tank as you should be aligned and up to speed while engaging, ready to warp out the minute you see red flashies. This is another fit from BD, but this time modified to help warp out. This is an expensive fit, espectally if you go with best named or T2 guns. Make sure you have 100m spare to cover the loss when that happens

'''Notes:''' This is the ultimate neutronthron setup. The plates mean that you dont need to rep as much and so dont go through as many cap boosters, they do reduce your speed a bit but its nothing huge, a good point is that you're less succeptible to webbers on the last 10km of the journey to your target. It does around 1000dps with T2 blasters and void, enough to kill most battleships before they even get you to armour :D

'''The Fit;'''

High: 7 x 425mm rails (T2 if you can fit them, best named you can afford if you can't), Neutralizer - This will flatten any tacklers that venture near

'''Notes:''' This is the ultimate neutronthron setup. The plates mean that you dont need to rep as much and so dont go through as many cap boosters, they do reduce your speed a bit but its nothing huge, a good point is that you're less succeptible to webbers on the last 10km of your path to your target. It does over 1000dps with T2 blasters, enough to kill most battleships before they even get you to armour :D
'''The fit:'''

Mid: 100mn MWD, Stasis Web, 20km Warp Scrambler, med cap booster with 800s
'''Notes:''' This setup seems like one of the best around for the taranis, does around 170dps and the neutrons plus null ammo give you decent enough range for fighting other inties when your range varies alot.

'''The fit;'''
This fit, however, comes from the self declared legend Butter Dog and while his ego may be bigger than the Titan he aspires to, he does seem to know a thing or 2 about ship fitting. The one downer about this fit is it is pricey (about 11M loss after insurance, depending on the dmg ctrl and EANM you choose) so don't fly it unless you can afford to lose it.
'''Notes:''' I think its sacrilege fitting light neutrons on a thorax, waste of a bonus :P I prefer this, I fought a thorax with a similar setup to bombers once in it and almost had him until his friend in a jaguar warped in and jammed me pre-revelations.
I rekon you could drop one for an AB or drone mod if you use (ie can afford) T2 cap chargers.

'''The Fit;'''

High: 7 x 425mm rails (T2 if you can fit them, best named you can afford if you can't), Neutralizer - This will flatten any tacklers that venture near

Mid: 3 x Sensor Booster II, 1 x Tracking Computer II

Low: 2 x Tracking Enhancer II, 3 x Magnetic Field Stabaliser II, 2 x i-stab

'''Notes:''' This is the ultimate neutronthron setup. The plates mean that you dont need to rep as much and so dont go through as many cap boosters, they do reduce your speed a bit but its nothing huge, a good point is that you're less succeptible to webbers on the last 10km of your path to your target. It does over 1000dps with T2 blasters, enough to kill most battleships before they even get you to armour :D

'''The fit:'''

High: 7x Neutron blaster cannon IIs with null/void

Mid: 100mn MWD, Stasis Web, 20km Warp Scrambler, med cap booster with 800s
Low: Large armour rep II, damage control II, energized adaptive nano membrane II, 2x 1600mm rolled tungsten plates, 2x mag stabs
Carry a range of ammo for the guns to suit range (Lead will give you about 30km opt) but the majority of your damage output will come from your drones.
Carry a range of ammo for the guns to suit range (Lead will give you about 30km opt) but the majority of your damage output will come from your drones.
'''Drones;''' T2 Meds matched to the damage type you're ratting, T2 heavies if you have the skills

'''Use;''' Fleet long range damage dealer

'''Notes;''' The focus here is on range and DPS. For fleet sniping you'll need a range of at least 150km. No tank as you should be aligned and up to speed while engaging, ready to warp out the minute you see red flashies. This is another fit from BD, but this time modified to help warp out. This is an expensive fit, espectally if you go with best named or T2 guns. Make sure you have 100m spare to cover the loss when that happens

==The Basics==
Eve-Online is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game set in the future. In this possible future, mankind and it'd greed have colonized the known universe,fueled by the ambitions of Mega-corps that war with each other over profits and resources. It looked like a dark time for mankind, with civilization pushed to the far reaches of known space, when a natural wormhole was found to another Galaxy. Brave explorers ventured forth, and began colonizing the new worlds, when suddenly the wormhole closed. Nobody could find a way back, and millions died without a link to the other galaxy. Over time, some did regain the capability to fly in space, and 4 main races arose. The Gallente, Caldari, Minmitar, and Amarr each have different social/economic/military views, and have skirmishes, despite the Concorde governing presence that maintains order within the 'Empire' systems with police patrols. Outside of the Empire, lawlessness presumes, as it is outside the reach of Concorde's forces.

Players earn ISK (Inter-Stellar-Kredits) for a myriad of things. Mining, going on Missions for agents of a faction, building and selling items from minerals mined from asteroids (most of the items in the game are built by it's players), buying things at one station at a low price, and hauling them to a station with a better price for sale, shooting NPC's that have bounties placed on them, freezing player ships in space and demanding a ransom or threaten to blow them up (also called piracy, which can only be done away from the watchful eyes of Concorde), or just for making instas, something that costs a player nothing, but can vastly speed up a player's movements through Eve.

==The Juicy Bits==

Players play in a world that they can affect. Players can build space stations at moons to harvest minerals off the moons, they can form a ship-building alliance, or they can band together to destroy the work of others.

The Economy is market driven. If you want something bad enough, a large amount of isk can get it for you. If you undercut your competition, you may establish a new standard price for something within a region.

Your character's actions determine what he/she can do, and where they can go. If you upset the police too much, they'll shoot you on sight. If you upset players too much, they'll place bounties on your head and everyone will try to get you. If you work hard and don't shoot indiscriminately at others, you'll develop a positive security status, and others will trust you.

==The Crusty Bits==
There is an hour of DownTime each day while they update the cluster of servers. Eve is one virtual world in our Real World, and is played on by Hundreds of Thousands of players.

It cost a monthly subscription to play, although they have a 14-day trial available, and annual payments for a discount.

It takes time to learn the skills to do larger things within the game. But it wouldn't be much fun if everyone could fly Titan's on their first day!

==Conclusion==

Jump in a Velator, run through the tutorial, and look up a corp in the recruiting channel. ASK QUESTIONS, as other players experience is invaluable in the rich world of Eve.
