Not even employed by Valve yet are also running under ValveTime.

Doesn't really matter, I guess they're getting hired anyway soon as it's out.

I loved the game play through half life. Even though it was at some points baffling to me as to where the mallard I should go next. Valve time promises great things!

I've forgotten when I first heard about this but I've wanted hard for a long time.

There are little blue pills that can help with this.

Well, so I heard.

Sorry, I don't see the point. Half Life was an OK game at best. Why people are getting excited about a re-make of a game almost everyone has played already, I'll never understand.

You're missing the point because your opinion of Half-life is wrong. ;)

Personally I loved HL1 back in the day and played through it multiple times, it was amazing then. But how it's going to hold-up now, with the graphical update, remains to be seen.

Remember, this isn't an straight update of it.

They've tweaked the story, added "cut" items, monsters and levels, as well as adding their own stuff to it. They've been through and improved the flow of levels and events.

The attention to detail is staggering as well, they completely reegineered lots of it, such as the cockroach entity, so instead of having only a handful availble due processing constraints, they can now have *loads* of them in places.

Think of it more as a 1.5 version then a straight port, hence the reason why it's taking a long time. It's going to be the same but different, rather then just more pretty.

I'm looking forward to it, as the HL:S version was a poor port, considering it was meant to be "reengineered and reimagined" for the source engine, yet simply turned out to be imported (and retextured) maps which took advantage of the prettier particle effects and graphical environmental effects (the water).

YES THIS IS GOING TO BLOW YOUR MIND.

I learned from Spore, if I have to pay for this, try first, buy later.

It always pays to keep rabid excitement in check. As for feedom, they've said it will definitely be free unless Valve come along at the last moment and start throwing their weight around (Not a direct quote, but similar ot what was said in the audio podcast thing I linked to a while back).
