Kooks - Inside In/Inside Out
Think of Arctic Monkey's music, with vocals by Supergrass, and somewhere in the middle you get the Kooks.

Editors - The Back Room
Really great new indie band, and the lead singer has a fantastic voice (kind of reminds me of David Bowie on some tracks).

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
If you haven't heard of them yet, where have you been??? Great sounding indie/rock album at it's best, that's really upbeat, and sets out to suprise you with it's "rough round the edges" sound, which you seldom hear on albums nowadays.

The Zutons - Tired Of Hanging Around
Fun, punchy, feel good music, that's great to listen to no matter where you are, or what mood you are in. Even better than there last album I reckon.

Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics
As strange as ever, and for those of you that have heard Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and enjoyed it thoroughly, then this should not disapoint, as I think it's even better. Bit hard to describe the Flaming Lips, but the closest band I can think of would be something like the Super Furry Animals (but a lot better).

Supertramp - Retrospectacle: the Supertramp Anthology
Not a new album, but an anthology of a band that were around a lot in the 80's, and you probably know more songs of theirs than you realise.
Some of their stuff was quite commercial, but an awful lot of it sounds strangely familiar to Pink Flloyd, but I'm glad I've finally discovered them, and I enjoy this thoroughly!

Bastard. After a few hypnotic mins of listening to this, I have difficulty closing it again.

I've been listening mostly to Tool, The Cure and some Ben Folds Five this last week, with a few others thrown in too.

Decides to add in some more obscure recomendations (Ska, with a hint of metal flavour):

Doubt any of you guys will like this stuff if you're anything like Woo's taste up there. But I can't help but try and push it through, if anything you'll like Tokyo Ska, as they're just awesome, no matter your taste.

Edit: Just incase you hadn't already noticed, images are whorred off amazon, and link to there, if you're interested.

I don't quite think that's true, I personally think narrowing the type of music you listen to also narrows your mind!

I like lots of different styles of music, it's just that there's a shitload of really good indie/rock bands coming out every month at the moment, so I've been buying their albums.

*hasn't downloaded an MP3 in about 2 years*
