Hi guys, I don't know if any of you are into Podcasts, but I thought I would post you a link for you to check out ours

We've done a couple now, with another one being done this weekend We're still quite new to it all, so both podcasts have a few issues, but we'll get better, honest

I listened to some of the first one and was quite impressed
I mean to listen to the rest

I'm a bit confused about podcasts, as their name implies they are a live broadcast you can listen to on your ipod.

Clearly the 'live' bit of this is impossible, you need a full copy of the audio to plop into your audio-playing device, unless your player is some constantly net-connected thing.

So what's the difference from an MP3? I know my MP3 player's software will accept these (and convert them into it's own spastic format) but I'm always unclear as to whether it could cope with a "podcast" and haven't tried.

A podcast is just an MP3, it's just being distributed in an episodic format. Often they're posted in RSS feeds to facilitate this episodic format.

Gah! I wish they'd just say that then, rather than unneccessarily advertising ipods all the time.

Not necessarily. We are hoping to do a live show in a month or so. As far as I know, we can broadcast to your very own winamp. We will then use Skype for people to be able to call in and ask questions/make comments
