Ok guys, heres one for you.

I have a CD with SP2 already "slipstreamed" into the install (which I didn't do myself), but recently heard about the possibility of creating a bootable DVD/CD which would enable me to just set it going and then it would install XP and any other programs I've included too. Now this would save me quite a bit of time and effort, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Having JFGI I found this guide, but its a little over my head. So. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience to share for this kind of thing?

Can create fully automated and slipstreamed windows disks, as well as allowing you to rmeove those iritating parts of windows like MSN messenger, the built in firewall, etc. There's also a guide to using it here

However, the main feature I'm interested in is the ability to automatically install other applications more than the unattended bit, nice as that would be. Removing the unwanted bits of windows is a nice feature tho!

i have made slipstreams & autoinstallers before, its not too hard and very useful!

nlite is nice, seems to do the job nicely. wasnt around when i started "back in the day"

they cover nearly everything, and their forums are excellent should you have any troubles.

Cheers prof. That does all look very useful, if a bit time consuming. I'll probably give it a go in a couple of weeks. It looks as tho they've made it about as easy as possible, but I still don't quite follow it all! Ah well, no harm in trying!

Well, I've managed to create a nice simple unattended install. However, drivers and applications are going to be installed the good old fashioned way - one at a time from my big DVD'o'stuff. The auto installer for them can go poke itself in the eye. Fecking thing. Meh.
