Allegedly, Christan Bale has been cast as John Connor on the upcoming movie
Terminator Salvation
link to absolute cannot be denied proof of said rumour

Should this turn out to be more than fanboi fantasising, I really really really hope that they don't cast the governator, or...if they do, that it's as a mildly ironic role, like they did with the Bishopdude in AvP
/edited for IMDB linkage and correct icontypething

The best thing about the Terminator series was the apocalyptic back story. I want to see more of that and less "I know, let's make another Terminator model and make it even harder! And with tits!".

Awesome if true. I like Bale - I think he's currently one of our finest actors.

This.
Batman Begins and the Prestige FTW, and I can't wait for
The Dark Knight. Awesome cast, and given the quality of Batman Begins it should be ace.

If it comes to light, it will be most win and more of an epic war film, or at least the setup for one.
Being honest, it's about the only route the series can go without becoming 1) Utter pish and 2) Stupid as fuck.
On other news, AVP 2 is scheduled for January '08, the trailer made it look most win like the 80's films of either series.
Marines vs Aliens with Preds in to boot, so it should also be more like the pc games.

Agree. He is a good example of not-up-their-arse method actors. The film where he plays the merkin pow in 'nam supposedly has him turning into a bag of bones and looking dead, all in the name of thespia, it gets a bit kellogs near the end, but is still rather good.
