Does anyone do cyber-stuff? Might be able to get in and see what the security cameras are seeing, get the gen on the security system, maybe staff rosters to give us an idea of who might be there. This whole operation is a low budget affair, so I'm not expecting high quality guards or security here.
I agree gents, I don't think letting this thing out of its box is a good idea. I say we just play the game for the time being - if this guy wants to make a name for himself then let's give him the chance. Might lead to some better runs for us.

I put on my rode and wizard hat...
Chopper wrote:Right, I like your thinking of a street side distraction. I can either pick them off from here with a bow and arrow, or I can lob a flash grenade in then get up close and personal with my friend Mr Axe.
Is Chopper able to see any obvious patrol routes? Would, for example, he be able to pick one off without the others noticing for a while?

I could use my Foreboding spell to try and mix them up a bit.
Leland wrote:I think it's time I joined you up on the roof there Chopper, why don't you help me up there? The vantage point could help me determine what we need to do.
Also, can we just assume that I took the time to heal off that point of stun damage I have?

Instead of waiting for help, Leland decides to try Levitating up to the roof.
Casts Levitation Rank 2: Magic [6] + Spellcasting [6] roll = 4 hits
Drain: (2/2) + 1 = 2, Resist: Willpower [4] + Logic [5] = 3 hits, no drain.
As he floats up the side of the building, Leland lets out a little shout into the comm

well, the layout of the place is like this: big empty warehouse. In the middle of it is a large metal cube, kinda similar to the big storage crates they transport things about in on cargo ships. The entrance to the inside of the warehouse is at the front of the building, the entrance to the cube is facing the rear of the building. There is only one guy patrolling, and he is basically slowly wandering in a cricle around the cube. The other four guards are at the doors, two to each door. Although you could try and get the wandering guard as he goes down the side of the cube, its not *that* long, so theres a fair chance that the guards at one end or the other may notice: if not seeing you, then hearing the fight. However, as its a big echoey room with metal walls and large aircon like units, theres a fair chance that a fight at one end would go unheard at the other end, as long as guns were not involved.

Is there any indication as to how heavy it is?

Assuming that information is passed on:
Okay then, I suggest I have a word with our buddies in the street and give them a bit of cash to kick up a stink in reception. Hopefully this'll draw most of the guards out to sort it out. Chopper drops in and deals with the remainders while Leiland grabs the loot and flies back out. Hopefully Chopper can subdue the lone guard while the rest are distracted and we can make a clean getaway. I never knew you could fly Leiland.

What I'll try and do is take out the lone guard with my bow and arrow whilst the others are distracted, then jump/rope in to secure the area.

Leland wrote:Well there's a lot you might not know about me. Just FYI, this levitate spell works on any object, not just me. The box itself should be a cinch to float out the window Chopper goes in, and if needed I might be able to grab Chopper out like this too if we need to.

Well hot piss. Why don't you just levitate the thing out without anybody going in? The kids can draw most of the guards off and a flashbang or noisy arrow into a corner will distract the other guy. We also need a contingency plan for if the guards don't take the bait.

I'll cast my Foreboding spell on the guy guarding the box, and put it on my sustaining Foci, then try levitating it out. If you guys can get one of these windows open without setting off an alarm we should be golden. Sounds good to you guys?

Yeah, I'm happy with that. You guys take a look at the security system, I'll go have a chat with our pals.
Joose, what skill does 'looking at a security system' use? I've got electronics at some rank or other, which might help.

Your electronics skill would do it, or Romans Infiltration skill, at a slightly higher dificulty. As Romans infiltration is 3 and your electronics is 2, is much of a muchness though, you would both have roughly the same odds.
Something I think I should point out: the "box" you can see from the window is definately not the box you are looking to get at. Its built like those cargo containers they put cars in, and is about 20meters square, by about 4-5 meters high. Basically, its a freestanding room. I probably wasnt clear enough about that.
Deej, you can try to levitate it out if you want, but you will almost certainly push your brains out of your ears in the process.

no you weren't. even still, the difficulty for the levitate spell is one hit per 200kg IIRC, which should be doable. Not a good idea, but doable.

Hmm, maybe need a slight plan revision then. Looks like we'll have to go in there. I'll get the kids going with some vodka or something, but I'll do it when we need them not before, otherwise they might go off prematurely or just get hammered.

not so much. Working it out, you would need ~30 hits to pull it off. so no, not really. Its a *big* box. Room sized. And metal.

How about I hit the guy guarding the box with Foreboding and then use Stunbolt on him until he goes down. You guys can then sneak in and open the container and grab the box we want.
Q's for Joose:
1) Is it more than say 3 or 4 meters from the container guard to any of the other guards?
2) Can we see what kind of locks are on the container? If so what kind are they?
Also, I think I'll cast Detect Enemies horse 5 just to make see if there's anything unexpected.
Detect Enemies 5: Spellcasting + Magic = 5 hits
Drain Resist: Logic + Willpower = 3 hits so no drain (DV: (F/2) + 1)
