I believe I suggested the pairing up idea. I do believe that we should try to get that one up and running fairly soon, and we need to choose a game.

Tournaments are an interesting idea, and it would be good if there was some way to spectate for the less competitive among us.

I rather liked things like the best in-game CDC contest, perhaps have more things like that which encourage people to check back on the board more to see new entries, enter themselves and to vote. Perhaps not too organised/regular and qotw-like though.

And here's a suggestion that may help with recent problems, a 5punk helpdesk.

A forum for reporting any problems or concerns with 5punk and related servers (in other words bukkake). People can check if the problem has already been reported and if not create a new thread. It would be the moderators job to manage the threads and get the problems sorted, whether that be solving the problem themselves or if they can't contacting directly those that can, ie. Berl and Stoat I guess. Those that don't comply to the rules are Salmon Ninja Pirate Gayered or worse.

Now I've written that it does sound like a lot of hard work for not much gain but I'll submit it anyway and you can make up your own mind.

there's an easier cure with some guidelines for bukkakeness:

If bukkake is showing dead on the teamspeak thingy on the frontpage, wait 2 mins - it's often that the query is either stalling at 5punk's end, or that a lovely low priority request is getting told to piss off by the server.

If you can't connect to a server, check you're not doing something stupid, retry a couple of times - sometimes teamspeak just needs a couple of trys, same with freshly restarted gameservers.

If that doesn't work, ping and tracert bukkake, if bukkake is actually down, it'll not ping - try this, it's incredibly informative

If there is something wrong with bukkake, i'll usually try to change my xfire profile to say so - This won't always happen, given that i'm working, if you want tech support, call WEY

However, it's often the case that i'll turn servers on and off during the day, reboot bukkake and test stuff while it's not busy, just because it doesn't respond for 10 seconds, it doesn't mean it's down.

If you've done all the the stuff above, don't ask me "is bukkake down" that's like asking, well, a pointless question.

Tell me what isn't working, what error messages you get, where traceroutes die and what you've tried to do to fix it.

Also remember, if bukkake is actually down entirely, i'll normally know about it before you, and will be working on it.



Doing these things won't usually take you more than 2 minutes, and it'll tell me a lot more than getting 50 bastard messages saying "is bukkake down?" each of which i have to think up a new and informative way of calling you a retarded cupcake for.

Basically i don't mind working my nuts off to keep bukkake running as well as possible, but please help me by doing some diagnosis - it's not difficult, or time consuming, unlike spending 5 minutes a message trying to explain exactly what i don't know is wrong with bukkake.
