yup, looks like the setup stuff I have is from dod:s original, and bastardised from CS:S, so was rather lacking a lot of important things.

Mrs fab was due to be much later back than she was so I finally got myself sorted after clearing connection aids and then yelling at my PC for 2 hours I finally settled down to some DoD:S and she came back
