My mate has this laptop which looks like it should run HL2 ok, but just wanted to check with you lot before trying to gift it to him. That said, how do you gift it? I think steam installed it when I got the Orange Box, but I have it on disk elsewhere too. Will installing it have messed it up, given I already had it registered on my steam account?

To give a gift, Open steam, Open the games menu and find "manage gifts & guest passes"

I'd suggest adding your chosen victim to your steam friends list from the 5punk steam community page.

I lolled when doing this and it said that EVERYONE on my friends list already had HL2. I gave both to a mate at work though, as I'd expected, so sorry.
