We need to account for the whole distribution process really, see where the food has been coming from and if it could have been tampered with somewhere after it left Karma.

Welp, while you guys do that, Grimmie's gonna go and see if he can find where these guys are stored usually.

Grimmie: The big fridge-looking thing at the back of the warehouse is a likely place for storing Doobries.
Mr Daniels wrote:We're tracing likely sources and contaminants. At the moment it's either Artery or a new semi-manned facility in Downtown. I know where I'm putting my money. Also, it's looking like the contaminant might be Shatter.

For a second I thought you said the contaminant was "Shatner", and I was very, very afraid.

Shatter? Doesn't that mess with your DNA if you take it a lot or something? It would also seem to implicate some form of DarkNight involvement wouldn't it? Here someone hold this thing while I look some stuff up on the computer.
I'd like to cross-reference the list of employees from this store with criminal backgrounds, the facility that Daniels mentioned, Artery, DarkNight, and any of the known victims. I'd also like to pull up info on Shatter.

Fridge thingy!
Does it have a window? Does it have a lock I can pick?

Deject: None of the store employees have criminal records, nor do any show up in relation to any of the other subjects.
Shatter is a black market drug manufactured by DarkNight. It's quite rare and difficult to get hold of, and has similar combat advantages to Ultra Violence. Runours are abound as to the side effects of Shatter - from causing psychoses (it's often known as the Serial Killer drug), to being the cause of Carriens. Karma studies of captured samples have revealed chemicals which bear some resemblance to UV and Kick Start, although the way they affect the body vary quite substsantially. It is also reported to contain a certain biological component, but so far study has not revealed exactly what it is or why it is there. There's no evidence (at least at your SCL) of any long term study of effects, so it's hard to say how much of the street rumour about the drug is true.
Grimmie: There's no window, but there's also no lock.

If the motion scanner's clear, I'll head inside.

Hmmm, well I think that once we're done checking this place out, we should probably head to that semi-automated facility Daniels mentioned, because I'm better that's the one that he was thinking of. I bet that since it's semi-automated it's more easily tampered with.

The motion scanner's clear, but since anything inside would be in a sealed metal container it wouldn't pick up anyway.
Nontheless, you open the door to a still and dimly lit room. There are racks that look sort of like rollercoaster seats with wires and tubes hanging down into them. On the floor are a few mangled Doobries; a Massacre and an Ultra Violet, and on a sort of large stretcher bed at the end is a young man. As you open the door he starts coughing weakly and recoils.

Can you do a First Aid check on him? I'm wondering if he's just a gibbering wreck from almost being cut up by doobries.

I can give it a shot I guess.
