Quite apart from the usual get out clause of artistic license, I have been watching, and we're now on episode 2 (I exclude the pilot as an episode) and there's mention of an order for 100,000+ cylon warriors. So that's your numbers issue sorted... The main storyline is of a trapped and increasingly vicious intelligence and I expect they'll explain the ships at some point. We're only 4 hours in and this is an American series don't forget! |

So you've got a galactic megalomaniac manual on what steps to take to produce cyborg ships/fleets/armies and how long each step is going to take with considered notations on future technology speeding manufacture but increased compexity of design always being ahead if the manufacturing curve and the inherent problems that arise for space faring despots who try to do too much too fast?
|
Now you mention it, Sun Tzu's Art of War In Space (Revised Edition) is sitting next to me.
I do have a fair point, even with artistic licence as Amblin points out, it's still not a long time at all nor is 100,000 a big number in the scale of things if you equate it to reality. |

But, just like every other sci-fi story, those 100,000 will take over the manufacturing plant and then there'll be millions in a few episodes...
btw...did u say "reality" ? |

I'm still enjoying Psych. Gus was quite funny with girlfriend Sarah Shahi from Life. ( I miss that show )

I'm not tryin to start anything up...but, I'd still prefer a 2-hour main storyline movie over a full season of Bum Notice.
The "Navy Seal Rappel" was very weak...
I do want to see how the new bad guy (from Mental) is going to turn out though.
New ep tonite. |

| Yeah Life was a great show. At least Southland lives on through the graces of TNT. I was seriously pissed when NBC canceled it. |

Today I've been watching Horrible Histories based on the kid's books, which you probably know well if you're around my age.
Fairly entertaining, slightly painful in places (as is to be expected from kid's TV) and edjumacashunal. |

Caprica #4 was painfully slow/boring. Did they say "frak" all the time in BSG also, cuz thats just fucking stupid. Esai Morales is still a pathetic actor. The only thing he was good in was back in 1983 in Bad Boys
sorry...
/rant off
I just woke up and I watched Caprica before I went to bed...had nightmares... |

They're showing extended, less censored versions of Season 1 now, with Season 2 coming on March 2nd. |

I've just attempted to watch that Spartacus thing.
Poor acting, excessive CG, antigravity blood.
I'm sure the crap violence and low grade softcore porn is enough to make up for it for some. but meh, I don't need porn in my general viewing.
Also, I'm fairly sure you're not surviving if your legs are cut off above the knees, cleanly (if there was enough crushing to stop bleeding, perhaps) but not like that.
I'll watch airwolf instead. |

If you are reading this you now have the Airwolf theme tune in your head. |

| Heroes season 4 finale was on the other - sucked major balls. No surprise as the season itself was insipid gash. |

Aye, I thought I'd give it one last shot, but it just turns bollocks like every other season. Same plot devices, nothing ever comes to a conclusion, characters go through the same identity crisis as they did in previous seasons, and the finale was just a motherfucking joke - seriously pathetic in fact. Season 5 can go fuck itself.
Unless Claire gets oiled up and naked. |
