Dear bummers. Some may have noticed some lists of games have appeared on the front page (hopefully, they hadn't actually appeared at the time of writing). The first being games we're currently playing, the second being ones we're trying out, and the third being the old favourites. This third list has had me thinking, since there's only space for ten games on it. What should our all-time 5punky top ten games be? For reference, here are the various game of the year winners (taken from the Wiki):

Re: 5punk Hall of Fame
I honestly don't think we can do a singular top 10 all time 5punky games, it's very hard to rank these, and generally we find at least one game a year that grabs us and fills us with glee, which would deserve to go on, but would push off an older game.Dog Pants wrote:This third list has had me thinking, since there's only space for ten games on it. As the front page can only do ranked lists of 10 items, we might be better off doing a top 10 5punky games for Year XXXX, and revise it every Janurary.

Re: 5punk Hall of Fame
I rarely do top tens, especially with games. There were things that were good at the time, but there place is in the past - City of Heroes, CoD UO and CoD 4, Battlefield 2, Supreme Commander etc etc. Like Buzz said something will always come along and usurp them. I am quite anti-nostalgia though, so that might colour my view.

Re: 5punk Hall of Fame
The first two lists are pretty clear and have a definitive purpose for new 5punkers, whilst I'm not sure of the purpose of the best of all time list. If it was best/most played of each genre, maybe have it random, it might be of better use.
Re: 5punk Hall of Fame
Yeah, fair points. It started as a way of communicating what we're playing at the moment, but I found that it was a blurred line. I think I got carried away with the hall of fame (although it would be nice to have somewhere, just maybe not as a top ten).

A top approx 200 games of all time...
Having the game awards with Grimmie art up front with revision in the new year would work better imo.

Good idea. Putting a page up or an FP article is easy enough.
