I'd opened the thread and wandered off before it loaded to make a cuppa and came back and spent a good 30 seconds trying to close it thinking i must of accidentally opened it knocking my mouse getting up or something, it wasn't until i scrolled the mouse wheel and it moved with the page that i realized :dohtwo:

More coop, Cookable grenades, Moar guns!

Interestingist bits of the changelog:

All new AI behaviors including use of cover, retreating, weapon based stances, bipod usage, pistol swap, arousal system; improved combat logic, use of grenades and targeting system.

New environment interaction features including sprinklers, breakable radios, cash registers, breakable pots, improved breakable vehicle windows.

With cookable grenades, left click will release the spoon on the grenade and will start cooking immediately.

I imagine it's a state of alertness thing, either that or we'll be attacked by fapping terrists

Code: Select all

With cookable grenades, left click will release the spoon on the grenade and will start cooking immediately.
Right click will prime a grenade without cooking and the left mouse button can be used to start cooking.
Middle mouse button will prime a lob without cooking. Clicking either the left or right mouse button will begin cooking.

Code: Select all

New burned and blown-up skins for players who get killed in the corresponding way.
I can't help but think those are related. So I just left, or was it right-click and umm..err...?

Also needs an update...

Infamy, Infamy, they've got it in for me!

So this is quite an interesting project as the core of the mod was built by the actual Insurgency devs, but was then opened up and has had a lot of community work added in, sort-of like an open source official mod.

It's just a steam workshop download away, and I'm probably going to give it a go this week or next. Will hopefully fill in for my WWII shooters pangs that RO2 failed to fill.

So I went and bought the early access stand-alone of Day Of Infamy.

It's alpha, but it's pretty good. Very much reminds me of Day Of Defeat on original Half Life, but with Insurgency's extra gubbins.

Lots of classes, lots of guns, three (!) armies thus far, maps need a bit of polish but they're functional. Flamethrowers are fun fun fun :)
Quite like the requirement of an Officer calling for the radio, and a Support Class person (if they've not unequipped it) needing to hoof the backpack radio over to them for things to happen.
