When asked about the various slimes and oozes in the dungeon, Halil furrows his big grey brow and rubs his temples.

He explains that it's difficult to find weaknesses in slimes - they all grow differently. Some melt away in contact with fire, some live in sand and rubble. Some even disguise themselves to look like part of a room! The only constants are: Oozes eat and breathe, they're mindless and sightless, never sleep and can't be poisoned. In short, they're a nuisance for any dungeoneer. From this you might be able to take away that not all slimes react in the same way to slashing or piercing weapons, too.

The ooze that you described, to Halil at least, sounds as though it can only summon a certain amount of creatures per day - but if they're anything like other summoned creatures, they won't hang around permanently.

We could send in some bait to summon its critters, run off, then come back in a couple of hours and kill it with swiss army knives.

My pleasure :D

If I haven't found you on steam to tell you yet, you've all leveled-the-fuck-up. Welcome to Level Three, chaps.

If you'd kindly prod me at some time this week, I can shuffle through your character sheet with you and help you through the process.

A wan dawn light seeps into Glibberig's tent. Sweetlips is snoring gently as the gnome blinks and slowly rises from his slumber. He stretches and peers in wonder at his arms and legs, almost as if he was suddenly seeing them in a new light. Clothes and hats (plural) are quickly pulled on and he bursts forth from the tent into the lambent glow of the new morning. A grazing fawn looks up at the sight, whilst a bluebird settles upon its back to take in the view. A small audience of rabbits, badgers, ferrets and foxes gather round.

He sings.

Glibberig wrote:Although the day is young, I'm feeling very strong
A spring in my step as I sing my little song.
A twinkle in my eye, not a cloud in the sky!
No end yet as I've only just begun.

I'm quicker and faster and brighter and smarter
If you must keep up with me you'll have to try a little harder.

A large hare emerges from the circle of animals. It rears up on its large hind legs - the gnome grabs his front paws and they waltz around.

Glibberig wrote:Strolling through the woods I see that everything is good
And the great oak tree it does remind me of me
Started out small but now it's grown very tall
But I leave it to Sweetlips to bark.

I'm quicker and faster and brighter and smarter
Cut you with my wit it doesn't get much sharper.

A cloud of small birds descend adoringly upon the bard. They grasp his clothes and carry him into the air, spinning round in a lazy circle about the camp.

Glibberig wrote:I'll continue my adventures and I'll never be done
My legend will be known by everyone
Fame and fortune will get so big, the people will rally:
We want KING GLIBBERIG!

Because I'm quicker and faster and brighter and smarter
Without in me in your life, things would be much harder

The birds softly land him back on the ground, their departing wing beats akin to rapturous applause. The other animals surge forwards to carry him on their backs - a procession around the campsite accompanied by ecstatic howls, barks and whistles. Finally Glib is carried back to his tent, and his enraptured entourage charge back into the woods singing his song in their own tongue.

Sweetlips peers out from tent and eyes the gnome. To his simple canine brain there was no sign of any other animals in the campsite, but he feels it best not to mention anything. He huffs and goes back to sleep.

Soon as I get a burst of inspiration for what to stock the dungeon with, we'll roll.

Any requests? I know we've been doing a lot of slime, vermin and undead recently. They're good low-level stock. Getting bored of those?

Bodaks, vampires and shades. Kick it up a notch. I've got a feral gargun death knight who ripped a bodak eye out and jammed it in to his own face, now he has death gaze.
