If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

MiniPC

Post by friznit »

Got fed up with my Boxee Box. It's unreliable, already had 1 RMA this year, it doesn't support Pay to view (so no Blinkbox) and it's too clunky for a media centre. The software isn't too bad, but the box that DLink has put it on is terrible.

So I've bought a Zotac mini pc - 130 quid (no OS, but meh) is cheaper than I thought. It's like a craptop without the screen and keyboard...or anything else for that matter. But with Win7Pro and RDP over LAN, attached to my TV with 1080p HDMI and a 2Tb NAS, and makes a very convenient Other PC and media server to have in the house for not much monies. Also, it's called Badger. Say hello if you see it on the internet.
