So I've got this wonderful thing at work: http://www.dell.com/uk/business/p/vostro-230/pd
Has these specs: http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/specs_7n90w/
I need to use dual monitors and therefore need a PCI-E graphics card with fairly low power consumption...
Looking at this, can't see any reasons why it wouldn't work but I might have missed something?

The spec says they do a dvi addon card thing, which might be cheaper and more compatible. Or not.
The thing you linked should work fine, but Dell are evil for swapping components without telling anyone. Take the side off and check at least.

Ta Berk! Yeah had the side off already, there's room for a single PCI-E card, but it certainly wouldn't have enough space of the more recent beefy cards that take up two slots, and its got some DELL SHIT™ in the way.

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-evga ... dvi-i-hdmi is the same price, slower clock speed but faster memory, a more recognised brand and doesn't have a fan - those tiny fans on cheap cards always go wrong.
