Best of the SLA Forum

Post by Dog Pants »

For those of you who play SLA but don't frequent the new official forums, here's a list of the best threads. New in-game stuff from the publishers, excellent fanfic and art, and player made stuff which fits nicely (rather than overpowered penis-cannons). No spoilers in here so click away, and anything I post here can be generally considered pukka gen for Pants WoP.

Game Content
330 Stormer 'Gator' - NPC Stormer variant
AA4 Support Revolver 'Gator Gun' - Heavy revolver designed for Gator Stormer
BLA 33 'Zip Gun' - Shiver issue firearm
Boomer - SLA battlefield anti-powersuit unit
Croaker - Mort fauna
Mutant Rats - Mort fauna
CAF 901 Catalogue - Fan made CAF weapons

Fanfic
Bits & Pieces - Short stories, very good
Say It's Alright

More will be added as I find it.

Those Boomers look nifty - sounds like a sleeker version of a 40k Dreadnought (from what I understand about them at least). What is a Sarge though - is it one of the Thresher powersuits?

Yeah that's quite deadly, even against a Thresher power suit.

All SLA books now £3.99. Nightfall have made themselves independent in order to start a new release schedule for SLA 2.0, and have started releasing old stuff to sell and the first of a series of £1 PDF supplements in order to fund it.

Contract Directory is free tomorrow to mark the 24th anniversary of it falling out of Dave Allsop's brain. It's worth picking up, although the sum of its parts is greater than the whole - a Contract Killer campaign feels a bit flat to me, but there's some great content in there for use in a normal game.

Nope, that's two manchines. One looks like Digger actually (although I think he's bigger). Dunno when it's coming out, but the inside content will be the same anyway.

I like that there's a metal beam called Dave.

I'm sure it's the artist's name, but it still amuses me.

I think Digger is a lot more mahoosive than that (I was reading the source books the other day, and the bits on the Cannibal Sectors genuinely make the hairs on my neck stand up).

Yeah, I think that's a regular manchine, just closer than the other. Digger does look like that but four times bigger.

And hey, have I ever sent you into the Cannibal Sectors before? Relax!
