IT'S ARRIVED! Thank you Royal Fail (and I didn't even need to go for the next day delivery either)
My boss opened his copy in front of me (he went for next day delivery) and said mine hadn't turned up... this made me a bit sad as 1. I wouldn't have had THE GAME and 2. I wanted to do the same thing to him

Hooray! Mine arrived at 9 this morning. fucking beautiful so far it is too. About half an hour in and I've already shot a rabbit in the head and massacred 8 hyenas (technically a cackle of hyenas). So chaps, when is best for a multi player meet up?

I had a quick look at the multiplayer and it seems to put you in an area I've not reached in singleplayer yet, thus a bit spoilery. Around 8 hours in on the SP and I'm still happily roaming the area around the first town.

PS. This game is awesome.

:above: to all of that although the multiplayer thing put me in the same area to start with. Enjoying this greatly and looking forward to more time to play it (we must try and get some 5punky MP in A.S.A.P.)

On the one hand I'm glad to see a bit of 5pubnky console action taking off. It's a masive area we've never expanded into. On the other hand I don't have a console (well, a Wii, but that's more of a toy), so I'm jealous I can't play this.

After 20 minutes on the phone to various different shops, I finally tracked a copy down in Currys.digital. From the first 20 minutes I've played so far, I like it. Here's hoping I can find the time to enjoy it now!

I have a free month on Xbox Live which I haven't yet activated, so once the MP interest takes off, I'll hopefully be able to join in at some point.

I've dabbled in both single and multiplayer, Loving them both.
The single player is immersive and oh so much fun, every session i've played there's been an 'OMG I just did something new and awesome' moment.
The multiplayer is confusing as hell to begin with but once you figure it out you can have an awesome time on there with pals, late last night when fewer of the dickheads were on spawn raping you in free roam, which can be highly annoying as PVP cant be turned off if you just wanted to do the co-op npc multiplayer missions. Free Roam is essentially a massive waiting room for people not doing a spefic game type to just smeg everyone else... it shouldn;t be but thats what happens atm :)

Either way fun fun... and if your in a big posse, anyone that fucks with you gets 'Their head hollowed out'

Easily done. I'm very bad at it though, my total "winnings" are -$190.

I'm glad horses don't perma-die otherwise I'd be skint and/or walking everywhere, considering how many I got through yesterday. Fuck you mountain lion!

No, but maybe I should consider starting an advertising company for western games.

So, what is this game?

Is it like a wild west Fallout 3? Or is it more GTA?

Somewhere between the two I think. It's got the supporting character development and missions from GTA, along with the real and busy feel of Liberty City, and the wasteland and (many, many) random encounters from Fallout 3. There's also the A-Life system of STALKER in there two, what with animals/outlaws migrating and taking over abandoned towns etc.

Yesterday I lassoed and hog tied a disenfranchised wife and took her back to her "whoremongering" husband. I could've just paid him 5 bucks to get the same result, but really wanted to try out my new lasso. Also defended a small town from raiders. Put five of them down with my golden rifle.
