You think if they were going to do a close-up on the dalek's eye at least make sure it's tidied up. The little tail of gel filler stuff on the right was really obvious in HD. Perhaps the progenitor did a rush job considering the circumstances.

I can safely say now that I liked the Tennant era better. There's just something weird about this season, and I can't figure out what.

Not really, the first series was, similarly, all about Rose and I didn't find it strange.

I'm finding it a bit flat.

I can't fault the actors, but perhaps there's a bit too much parity between them, both starting at the same time and the Doctor actor not being the massive thespian the Companion actor might be a little starstruck by. 7-year-old Amy has been the highlight for me so far as far as interactions go.

I like that the Companion gives as good as she gets, that's what endeared Rose to me, but this one, constantly challenging a rather broken, error-prone newly-regenerated Doctor seems a little cocky given she doesn't bring much to the table. Her antics right at the close of the last episode did give an interesting new dimension to the relationship though - jumping from frightened obendience when out of her element, to confident dominance in familiar surroundings. I hope we'll see more of her picking up on things she sees and recognises that the Doctor can't, even in strange (to her) situations, giving the Doctor the grounding he needs.

Story-wise, there seems to be a bit too much immediacy in the explanation of previous story elements, like Moffat thinks he's on borrowed time. Amy not recognising the Daleks was brought up in the very next story rather than being left to simmer and that stupid crack in the wall had "Obvious Season Finalé Plot Element" written all over it, as well as being a totally weak way to defeat the Angels.

Good was the way having time-travelled altered Amy's perception of events, though - nice character development. River Song needs to end up being the Doctor's daughter or something - that might erase some of her smugness and maybe make us give a shit about her. Her (final) scenes in the Library episode were done well, but I think they blundered a bit with this one.

Lack of mystery, that might be it. Moffat created a good plot, now he keeps rubbing it into your face (crack in the wall, people not remembering stuff, Pandorica, etc.), I already have a pretty good idea what will happen in the finale. The problem's not with the acting, while both of them seem a little inexperienced, the new guy's not doing bad enough to bother me, and Gillan, I don't care how she's acting, I just totally would. The new series companions struck me as a little resigned (well except Donna, but she should've been stabbed after her bloody wedding special), I, for one, welcome the change.

River was below average in part 2, but I liked her overcockyness in part 1. I like how Moffat turns casual conversation elements into a whole episode though - the whole Byzantium crash was mentioned in one of the library episodes.

At least the cracks have been partially explained. Possible destruction of the TARDIS, or at least the front doors (more likely) is coming up sometime in the future.

And Rory is dead. Or never existed. Or will exist when the Doctor inevitably fixes everything at the end of the series.

So obvious. Doctor fixes crack, suddenly everyone absorbed by crack is returned and alive.

I Like the new Doctor, hes funny, quirky and got him spot on.
Anyone who was flaming him BEFORE he wasnt even on Doctor Who is stupid. Sorry, but I believe in giving someone a chance. Also 'dont judge a book by its cover'.
Im upto Vampire girlies atm, have to watch the rest.
Also, Amy is hawt but dunno if she is the best assistant..
Overall, loving the New Doctor Who.
