Heroes

Post by spoodie »

Personally I'm loving this. It's the best thing since Lost (before it got boring and drawn-out) and unlike Lost it seems that the first series will end with some kind of conclusion to the current storyline. The efforts to explain why the people are gaining super powers are a bit lame but if you like super hero stuff you're bound to like this.

Who has been watching and what do you think?

Is it only available via :sweep: here in the U.K. or is it being shown on TV soon?

I like the sound of it, and definitely want to give it a go.

It's not on TV in the UK and no idea whether it will be, but I don't see why not. If C4 can stop showing series after series of Lost and Desperate Housewives for five minutes.

BTW: It's on Monday nights, America time, and we're five episodes in so far.

Hmmm, seems the SciFi channel is showing this, but can't work out whether the listings for SciFi channel are different in the U.S. to what they are in the U.K on Cable/Sky

Yay!

I have been watching this and really enjoying it. Has to be taken slightly tongue-in-cheek but the plot is first class, always a good cliffhanger at the end of each episode.

It's good, i'm liking it. But it needs to get going else it will lose my interest. It is slightly like Lost insomuch as nothing really happens in an episode.

I have 1x05 to watch sometime.

Also: All the female leads are hot.

I've watched up to ep3 so far, after watching the first one I wasn't convinced but carried on and now I'm hooked, very cheesy but in a way that works, some proper mystery mixed with great moments of comedy but retaining a very dark undercurrent.

I'm definitely in for the first series.

A quick search on the Radio Times website doesn't show any results for "Heroes" here in the UK.

It is on as I caught the end of one while flicking around, only after I'd watched my download version did I actually realise i'd seen a bit of a Heroes ep. on Sci Fi

Edit: Unless of course this was while I was flicking around on US TV while in a hotel on holiday?!? :?

I have seen the first five eps, and it's pretty good and gets a tiny bit better each ep. While I do like superhero stuff in general, particularly origin stories, it's extremely rare for me to like a US series at all, or indeed look forward to anything on TV with this much anticipation.

Edit: looks like some twat missed celebrating his 2000th post

This really is a fantastic show. Good characters and good storyline. Very rare for me to be on the edge of my seat with a TV show, but I was with this one. I'm now getting impatient for the other episodes to become available.

At least four ZOMG! moments in #6, this is getting better exponentially.

:above: this!

At this rate, I may have to equip rubber undies for the last show in the series.

Look at entry #7.

Possibly incorrect, would be cool though :w00t:

The last episode did seem to add a spin to previous ideas about who is a goodie and who is a baddie. Suddenly the cheerleader's Dad looks a bit more vulnerable and less baddie, as does the morphing bloke. Also the dual-personality chick looks a lot more villainous. Interesting stuff.

What a great show, I wasn't too impressed with the first episode, but it seems to get better with each one. *goes to dl the sixth*
