Team Fortress 2 - First impressions

Fucking Win. Get it.

Accurate, but maybe not too informative. I'll pad it out another time, but I just felt that this needed to be said.

I concur.

Only thing I've found is it really needs 6-7+ a side to play well.

Still a couple of things they could fix, though. Some maps only have one way through, which can get a bit repetitive when defenders are holding it quite well, also having FF off makes the Spy's job a lot harder - had a few instances of the enemies just blocking my path and shooting me because they could without fear of killing an apparent teammate.

I agree, having FF on would make it a bit more of a thoughtful/skilful game rather than the shooting-fest it currently is. Not sure how that might work with rocket-jumping/turrets though.

Not played much as a spy yet, but I agree that the indiscriminate shooting can be a pain. I feel it would be a very very handy class if played properly. Loving the Engineer though. :)

I love being a pyroman. I've not really managed to get a high score as one yet, but my word is it fun to jump into a crowd of people and set them all on fire.

Edit: ooh, identical number of posts as Lat.

Can you play the beta by pre ordering TF2 only?

As far as I know, the only way to get the beta is by preordering the orange box, as that's the only thing you can preorder, they'll probably release the games separately and massively overpriced on the 10th (ie. once release has happened)

The number of similarities between us scares me a little.
