I actually only added mine to Mk 2 the other day, arse. Have a half arsed edited copy/paste job

Thermaltake Soprano case with 3 fans
Pentium 4 3.2 GHz Dual Core/HT jobbie (which SRL picks up as 4.8GHz, fuck knows how that works)
2GB Assorted RAM
250GB over 3 Drives (only 2 installed though)
Philips DVD R/W
NEC 17" LCD
BFG Geforce 7800 GS
Creative Live! 5.1 sound card
Tsunami 5.1 Surround speakers which are a few years old but are still top notch
Wi-Fi network provided by my Netgear DG834G Wireless Router

I'm pretty sure my Processor is the next thing to be upgraded, but can't afford nor be arsed with the included hassle. I think it'll be 'reet for now.

Is this the 320MB one that goes for a smidgen under £200? Whats it like compared to whatever you had before? Would you recommend it?

Also, whats this like? Been reading a bit about PSUs this afternoon and have realised that I know nothing about rails/voltages/electricity/anything so am instead going to rely on the ever trustworthy 5punk for my buying guidance. Is it fairly future-proof, and is it the one in the £50-£60 bracket?

"Desktop"
Shuttle SB75G2 (lovely machine, but still has stock 250W PSU and gets unbelievably hot when playing Oblivion)
Pentium 4 2.8E @ ~3.0
BFG 7800GS-OC @ 475/2.65 core/mem (stock 400/2.50) (the only upgrade to the internals of this machine in the 3+ years I've had it, from an XFX 5700 Ultra)
2x512MB fancy-ish (for the time) OCZ RAM
2x 74GB Raptors (RAID0)
HP DVD640i (16x DVD writer with Lightscribe - come to think of it, this was an upgrade too, from a 6x Pioneer read-only drive)
Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro
Viewsonic VG2021m (20" SXGA+, 8ms response time, inexpensive)
Logitech Dinovo Media Desktop (the original one - and in UK layout)
Xbox360 controller
Wacom Graphire tablet (definitely could use an upgrade here)
LaCie/Porsche Design 250GB USB2 hard disk
Sennheiser HD600s (6 years old, need new cable and ear pads)

Laptop
IBM ThinkPad T41, 2373-9FU
Pentium-M 1.7
Mobility Radeon 9000
1.5GB RAM
60GB, 7200rpm Hitachi HDD
Toshiba combo CDRW/DVD-ROM drive (also have an extra internal battery that can replace this)
Cruddy onboard sound
14.1" SXGA+ display
6-cell battery, starting to really show its age (not the original - was replaced over 2 years ago though)
Keyboard swapped over to UK layout, trackpad disabled (not got round to getting a new trackpadless palmrest)
Shure e5s

Being a student sucks - I need new computers. Both of these machines are over 3 years old. :(

Edit: added random bits I'd forgotten

cpu: Celeron 2.4 Ghz
RAM: 256mb generic DDR333 (x2)
mobo: I forgot what model the motherboard is, but it's an old socket478 from ECS with built in s/v/l and 4x AGP slot
video: Geforce 6200 256mb 64bit 8x agp (but of course I only get to run it in 4x due to the crappy mobo)
Optical drive: LG 16x DVD-R and a Lite-on combo drive
HD: Seagate 40GB 5200rpm (x2)
casing: Generic white, it doesn't have any brand. fuck it and the crappy 350w psu it rode on.

Cooling: big-ass stand fan that also works on people. runs on standard 220 volts.

It's a crappy Desktop, but I'm trying to get a loan so I can buy a decent PC. I feel shameful about it, though. I'm thinking of a reason I can give when the CIs start snooping around. I don't like to say "Yeah, I need around 30Kay so I can play Doom 3 in full speed" I might as well just say I need money to pay a prostitute. It's like, Hello, Mr. Banker. I want to apply for a sex loan.

2.4Ghz P4 HT flavour
2Gb RAM (PC3200)
GForce 6800
3x250Gb HDD's
Zalman flower copper type CPU fan
Medusa headphones

and 3 laptops, 2 x P4 spec w/ 512Mb & 1.25Gb RAM, one AMD thingy with 512Mb ~1.5Ghz I think.

I've not upgraded my desktop for years wth the exception of the gfx card and a 250Gb drive. narf it's not worth it just yet as I've stopped playing decent games on it (or is it I've stopped playing games cos I've a shit PC? :) )

Just got back from my holiday in South Africa, found my business partner has kitted us both out with new Dell laptops. :boogie: :w00t: :likesitall:

Dell XPS M1710
Intel Centrino Duo/Core 2 T7200 @ 2.00Ghz
120Gb 5400RPM HDD
2Gb RAM (2x1Gb) (I wanted 4Gb, but I was told to wait for the RAM to drop in price a bit - awww)
Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX 512Mb (Dx9)
17" screen @ 1920x1200
Fista Ultimate

Weighs in at a healthy 3.9Kg - fat bastards. But I love the way you can change the LED's lights all the different colours.

Gonna go home and play with myself now :ahoy:

Bad idea good sir, Intel Core2s are getting re-vamped, so the current ones shall be made oh so very cheap in a few days.
