In theory, there is the capability to produce enormous buildings to quite a high detail level. I would probably say that 10 storeys is probably getting to be too much on a realistic level (if you go for all the trimmings).

hopefully i'll be able to get started on a test level tomorrow, i'll probably aim for 15 floors of 30 rooms or so, nothing too complicated, but should give the engine something to stress about

i think hammer just gets in a mood sometimes, had very few crashes so far, but when it has, it's been messy

Okay, guide written, Berk's already agreed to go over it for me, but I could do with someone else (who doesn't know me quite as well) to give it a quick scan to see if it all makes sense.

It's really a guide to give hammer users of all skill levels an idea of what sort of methods and thinking an architect might use before designing a building.

I'm more of an Unreal mapper to be honest. I have been looking for a reason to download the hammer editor though so count me in. I will have to learn it mind but I'll have a crack!

Will download the guide when I get home from work, cheers guys.
