Rocket league

Post by fabyak »

Been playing this a fair amount with bits and Berk and I can heartily recommend it as it seems very 5punky. Think football where you only control one foot and that has a rocket booster hooked up to it. Really easy to start and very satisfying when you get it right and equally funny when you don't. Even at 15 quid I can heartily recommend it. And you can make your car pink with sparkly trails and love hearts when you earn the free upgrades

It's getting lots of good publicity. I'm not adverse to giving it a go. Did you say it has a demo or something?

£15 is a bit steep for this sort of game in my opinion, I'll wait till it's on sale. Oh and no demo that I can see.

It is good, Probably realistically good value (currently) at £8-10, but I feel like it'll turn up in a humble bundle or a sale in the not too distant future.

I'll probably pick it up at one point too, like the gentlemen above.

Please. I thought this sounded rather like Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars which I have on PS3 and had quite a lot of fun with. Turns out it's the sequel.

As I understand they simplified the game play a little, to make it a purer experience.

Thanks!

It's sort of reminiscent of the old Team Fortress push/football mode - that (unlike the new one that's US Football/Rollerball-inspired) had a massive football in the middle and you had to rocket-jump, blast and bounce it into the opposition goal.
