I'm quite liking this. Although I'd prefer it if there was more than two ways of the character saying "this door is locked".

That doesn't particularly bother me. I'm getting the impression that this game isn't designed for hardcore FPS players, 'cos now I have guns I've headshotting the fuck out of the bad guys I'm supposed to be sneaking past. Works for me, I prefer it that way. I'm noticing it's got more puzzle and less investigation now, but it's still good.

Oh, and I had a nasty crash that I fixed with Win98 compatibility mode.

And what the fuck is up with being sent on stupid errands when you've a whole town of freaks trying to kill you? Don't game characters know how to say "no, going to get your girlfriend's jewellery will get me killed so fuck off. I don't care how upset she'll be. "?

Oh for fuck's sake. Why can nobody get it right? That review seemed to be better than the film.

Probably because for a Lovecraft thing, you're never gonna get close enough to his stuff for the fans and get a sellable movie out of it.

Though, in that case, it seems they managed neither.

In every case they've done neither.

Indeed, although from me that's damning with faint praise.
