WoW - Links, Guides & Info

Post by friznit »

World of Warcraft. Magical faaabulous Fairyland. Like nicotine soaked chewing gum dipped in arsenic, we all know it's bad for you but we keep going back for more.

5punk currently has a guild called I Love Horses on the EU-Emerald Dream PvE server.

General Info

5punkcraft Roll Call
5punky Dungeons
WoWiki Probably the best place to start for help
Wowhead Items & Quest database
Curse.com Addons Database
List of normal Northrend Dailies
WoW Addons The 5punky addons thread - stuff we all like to strap on
Essential Raid Addons

Guides

Dogpants' 5punkwow Beginner's Guide, incorporating:
- Wiggy's Paladin Guide
- FatherJack's Warlock Guide
- Dog Pants' Shaman Guide
- FatherJack's Death Knight Guide
- Anery's Druid Guide
- Imperatore's Priest Guide
Friznit's Protection Warrior Guide
Friznit's Holy Paladin Guide
Boosh's Quick n Dirty Resto Shaman Guide

Mighty Useful Stuff

Curse - For all your addon needs. Curse client is a good way to keep them all up to date.
Profession Levelling Guides
Gem Finder
Warcrafter - Offline Character editor and gear footler
BeImba - Character auditor, to see where your [raid] character sits in the grand scheme of things
Rawr - Small download that provides offline character footling and gear optimisation. Useful for people who are progressing beyond Heroic dungeons.
Tankingtips - As the name implies, but often some very useful info there.

Account Security

Battle.net Mobile Authenticator - adds an extra layer of protection to prevent keyloggers h4xing your account. Costs 50p. Highly recommended.

That ^

I've found it to conflict with popular opinion on Elitist Jerks for me though.

If I can pump another 74 levels into the warrior I started last night, I'll be digesting that tank guide.

If you fancy diong a duo thing with my priest (22 atm, I think) give me a shout. I was going to duo with Berks Pally, but he's a Pally, so doesn't really need it and I doubt I'd play it enough to keep up with him anyway :)

Your more limited hours should suit just right.

Aye, I've a druid about the same level (22 ish) at the moment too, as long as you don't mind me sometimes disappearing AFK at short notice for Sprog Pants related drama.

I also have a Priest, level 24 I think. Must say I'm surprised at how much damage they do - I'm soloing quests that gave me difficulty with a Rogue at the same level (although admittedly that was the first character I ever played).

I'm mainly on that one now so shout up if you want to trio

Moderately useful stuff:

www.pugchecker.com - Exactly what it says on the tin, quick rundown of gear and what the person has done, very handy if you regularly run teams.

www.wow-heroes.com - Like pugchecker, but more biased towards achievement progress, has a nice gear last as the bottom
