Double post, but this image from the Steam announcement pretty much gives away what we're probably going to get:
Image

Looks like molotovs, a flamethrower, a drum based grenade launcher and probably incendiary ammo.

Fwiw, providing you have a car boxed on car shop, late arrivals can just crash into the van and jump out, rather than trying to park.

Flamethrower: Much fun. Not the greatest implementation of a flamethrower ever, but definitely fun. Absofuckinglutely brilliant and stopping the plod in their tracks en mass. Ammo pickups are disabled.
Molotovs: They're bloomin' molotovs, I shouldn't need to say more.
Piglet GL: Same as the GL, just 6 shots before the lengthy reload.
AA-12: Not used yet, but it's a shotgun and stats wise eclipses the Saiga.

New update! Nupdate! Nudate! Nute! (Actually a couple of days ago)

New gun animations across the board and properly transparent magazines where we can see the bullet count going down.

I hoping that the impetus around this was actually a rejigging of Payday 2's animation system, as I did read a few posts on the Steam forums that the reason why we don't get funky magazine upgrades (like double drum for the G36 etc...) is due to only the fact the game only supported one reload animation per weapon.

OOoooh, new free heist: http://www.overkillsoftware.com/games/meltdown/

I see more driving!

Big things though:
  • Prices of all the DLC over the 16 months since launch have dropped. Like, nearly 50%. Forever.
Obviously excludes some of the just launched stuff, but everything before (and including) Clover pack is in it.
  • XP system changes. No longer Heist based, but objective based. Curious, because it's going to solidify some approaches as the best for XP, probably not a problem for us as we play for fun.
  • Big patch notes list!

Indeed, proper game based love.

Incidentally, the new job is Shadow raid, but loud, with forklifts for loot moving. :)

It sounds like it's going to be very Big Bank-ish. I hope it builds on it and offers a true multifaceted heist considering it's the last of the Dentist's heists.

Also, calling it now that one of the masks that come with the dlc will be a fat Elvis :)

Yup, also looks like there's a true casing mode, where you're completely unarmed and ungeared until you get to your kit.

Oh wow, that's an interesting cross over. Shame I've not played PD2 in months as I sort of went off it.

Tom Banner studios seems to be on a quest (get it? 'cause it's about knights!) to get a crossover with every game on steam. Not that I'm against that.
