Looks okay, but is it me or was the music twice as loud as the speech? I couldn't hear a thing they said.

The Dark Tower

I'm looking forwards to this. I've only got one more book in the series to go as well. It isn't a straight adaptation so I don't think it's necessary to have read them first, but it will probably spoil what happens in the books.

I also think Idris Elba is a great choice for the central character. In the book he's written to be like Clint Eastwood, and his blue eyes are referenced several times, but it makes absolutely no difference to the fundamental core of the character and I think IE will nail it.

Even though he bears no physical resemblance to Clint Eastwood, the makers are seemingly aware of his origins as that melody is the one from "For a few dollars more". I also saw the overlook hotel in there, cheeky buggers.

Were the balloons in the ruins a nod to Pennywise, or am I reading too much into that?

The rusty, twisted fairground sign says pennywise. Seem to recall pennywise type creatures are in the dark tower universe too.

Looks promising. Can't decide if was a bit too spoilery though, it certainly hinted very strongly at a couple of things.
