Re: Our 5punk Needs You
Right, a few things to come of the lurkers thread which might make the site more attractive and useful: Link back to the main page from the forum - I'd actually like to have a unified top bar across the whole site. Better 5cheduler / 5cheduler on the forum - I don't like the bodged 5cheduler I put ...

Re: Lurkers of the world, unite!
Something that's probably been mentioned before but what about an open Google calendar, or similar, with a link to it on the top bar? The main problem I can think of is that the fact that it's not immediately visible might drastically reduce it's usefulness. Worth a shot? I did look into embedding ...
Re: Weddings!
Not something I'll be likely to attend , in spite of it being relatively close to me. As it's Easter hols and Mrs Tandini is a teacher, we usually go away for a long weekend around that weekend... Think we'll be in the not-at-all-Welsh Paris. Have a belter though.

Re: Brum Bash IX (for reals)
I think there's some kind of wedding I have to go to in June but I'm not sure of specifics. Naturally if I can be there I will be!

Re: 5punk Awards 2013
"Special" congratulations to all the winners and all the 5punkers! It'll be 9 years for me in March and I can see no reason why we won't go on for another 9. Coming from me this year: more "Let's Play" action and ideally I'll introduce some new faces to a 5punky paradise. :likesi...

Re: Starbound
I was thinking about multispaz and running local servers. If all of us (or all of us who want to) run our games as MP servers and stick a post up in the Waugh with our IPs then we can just jump in and out of each others' games if we like. That's a good idea actually. I will endeavour to do this in ...

Re: Starbound
I've put a good few hours into this over the past week or so and have really enjoyed it. On my starter planet I found a load of abandoned techy looking sheds with sentry robots in (and one with nothing but bloody graffiti on the walls and a cool handprint scanner to get in). Further on and with Mrs ...

Chivalry again for me. The chaos reminds me of early UT days and that is always a good thing.

Re: Game of the Year Award 2013 Nominations
My first experience with Chivalry was in low grav mode. The anguished yells of the floaty knights (noNoNOOO), clearly bewildered by what was happening had me laughing so hard I had to turn off my mic. Chivalry for me.

I seem to recall having my arse handed to me countless times by Tezz in DOTA, so he gets my nomination. HAX!

Re: Liver of the Year Award 2013 Nominations
It seems obvious to nominate Pnut for this, but I remember when Pete was so shitfaced he came on TS, slurred about ordering a burger, ordered it then went off TS and woke up the next morning with a half-eaten burger in his paw. Not even Pnut managed this and for that I nominate Pete. I ate what was...

Re: 5punker of the Year Award 2013 Nominations
Always a tough one this. As someone does every year, I feel every one of us is a 5punker of the year in one way or another. We always rally around when one of us needs it, we're welcoming, friendly, intelligent and very funny. We're tolerant, patient, shit at games, good at games and drunk. These qu...

Re: Talented Bastard Award 2013 Nominations
Wahoo, a nomination! I intend to get back on the Let's Play train again, hopefully soon now I have a lovely room in the new house dedicated to me and my "interests". I'm absolutely going to finish STALKER and as a few of you may know I picked up a few "classics" at the last Brum ...

Re: Starbound Four pack?
A +1 here for this being great. Once I'd figured out some basics (press e to harvest crops, use workbench, anvil and campfire, as opposed to standing near them and using your C crafting menu). Already good, but patches are getting thrown out so it's evolving fast.

Welcome Sir, welcome. As Dog Pants said, someone can usually be found playing GTA Online or whatever (we also have a social club crew with the best emblem ever, search the social club for "5pnk") and gaming chit chat is obviously always welcome here!

Chuck the galacticraft mod on to Minecraft. Not quite the same in scope I'm sure, but it's in constant development. Might scratch your space minecraft/0x10c itch?Dr. kitteny berk wrote:What'd be awesome would be some kind of massive space game made by those chaps who did minecraft.

Re: Looking for an ad blocker
If you're still wary of the Adblock Plus "none intrusive advertising" settings, some clever soul has released a fork of it called Adblock Edge which removes the functionality entirely. everything else is as it was. It's currently only a Mozilla thing though.
