Re: FF7
While I totally agree, waiting for long term release cycles to push new features is dumb, there isn't any need to follow Chrome's stupid versioning system. Chrome is already on version 16 in development. From initial release to version 16 in 3 years? Come on now... Chrome's gone though 16 iteration...
Re: FF7
They wanted to be more like Chrome. That's basically it. Chrome gets a new version number every time they get a nw download. Specifically, they wanted Chrome's development model, because it's awesome. Features get pushed out when they're ready, rather than waiting a year for the next major release....

Re: New Forum, bear with us ... (bug reports, etc)
There isn't I'm afraid. It should be easier to make this one work better on a small screen though, so I'll add it to the list.

It's worth noting that you get the original version with it, plus the soundtrack. It's really rather a good deal!

I'm really looking forward to exploring a Nether Fortress! I think I'll wait until it's released though- people are reporting awful frame rates with the new threadded struff.

Re: Minecraft
Stoat got it working but I can't replicate it. Is that world seed supposed to have a negative number, that's what I'm using? Yes, negative. Even if the seed is different, all that would happen is that newly generated chunks wouldn't fit seemlessly. All I did was stick the freshly generated level.da...

Re: Minecraft
The seed is -3804446118942569114. I generated a new world with that seed and copied its level.dat over. I can at least load the world now. I've only had a cursory look around though - where are the errors?

Re: Spec me some graphical power, bitches.
Thanks for your help, bitches. Went with a Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 600W. I think we have success- I'm writing this from USB-based Ubuntu! I got a 'CPU not detected' message when I first turned it on, which was a bit worrying, but The Universal Fix worked. I'll post my new specs in the thread wh...

Re: Spec me some graphical power, bitches.
Thanks, that's some solid info to go on. I'm trying to avoid brands I used last time, so a Corsair PSU is out. It's probably fine but I don't really have a way to test it. The card you linked looks nice enough, although it won't be in stock until next month.

Spec me some graphical power, bitches.
Courtesy of a daily deal at Scan, I've got me some bits with which to build a computer! I'm a bit stumped now though. I'm in need of a graphics card. I'm interested to try out the onboard graphics on these new sandybridge boards but I can't imagine it's going to get me good frame rates in Hard Reset...
