Re: Deus Ex : Mankind Divided
I have the horrible feeling the devs feel like this is a reference to Rosa Parks or something. It's clear they had racial segregation in mind with a lot of the design and in the cut scene before you have any control your character and another aug character deliberately walk through the wrong train ...

Re: Deus Ex : Mankind Divided
I think it's hard to show what they are trying to show without seeming heavy-handed or ridiculous, and they got it both right and wrong in parts. The obvious parallel between the aug/natural separation and racial segregation is not just heavy-handed but stupid and wrong. Augs on the whole chose to b...

Re: Norman's Guy
I was going to get it free in a PS4 bundle, but the deal expired, plus they are announcing a new PS4 in a week or two. I kind of got bored of it just from our brief exposure at the bash, I could see myself lazily playing it on a dull afternoon, but not really getting excited enough to pay more than ...

Re: Norman's Guy
I like the idea of it - especially the exploring of new uncharted space and naming planets after my scrotum, but I really want to see what it is like first. Elite promised to be like that but ended up as space trucker in small area (if you wanted to stay near friends) or mostly samey if you went exp...

I can bring my air bed/sleeping bag thing I never use but would rather sleep on a sofa, so the air bed will be free for anyone else to use.

http://www.skullcandy.co.uk/search?q=wireless these look quite nice with lots of fruity shades. I don't know much about their full range, but they made the standout best pair of earbud-type headphones I've ever used.

Re: Is it a good time to upgrade, bitches?!
They've been using i3, i5 and i7 as names for about six generations now, so you need to go by the (now) four-digit number after the i-name and the clock speed as well now. http://cpuboss.com/ will help you compare. A first-gen i7 920 is significantly less powerful than even the cheapest i3 available...

Re: Brum Bash foods
Since I missed out on Belgium bash it might be nice to try some stuff from there. I don't really know what there is though, I'm not a massive fan of sweet things and my favourite things cheese and meat don't transport very well. Maybe some dried meat or pate that is unique to Belgium, that'd be gran...

The GTX 1060 is about to arrive and theoretically should eclipse the 970 at a similar price point. Even though they are reportedly actually cheaper to make they will most likely be marked up in price so that people still buy 970s that the stores have sitting on shelves. Magazines are guessing around...

Re: Steam Hardware
Steam Controller I only got this today, but here's quick description and review of my first impressions. It's about the size of a 360 controller and has a familiar but decidedly-non-copyright-infriging layout. On the face there is a Steam button which wakes it up, along with "Back" and &q...

GMail Actually, really. It is an email client as well as a mail service, you can set up POP and IMAP and all that bollocks to any account. All the data is saved on their server so you don't need to worry about PSTs when you get a new computer. You could copy their existing PSTs into a Gmail account ...

Apparently you will soon be able to buy an xbox one game and be able to play the pc version as well. Kind of like Blurays with a free DVD copy. I bet the reverse isn't true given that console games inexplicably cost about 25-33% more. From that lot: I want Dishonoured 2 - a lovely new setting to st...
Re: Euro 2016
Try feeding the results of the actual tournament in with increased weighting to represent current form. I had a bingotron that did fantasy football - it was always shit for the first half of the season based on last year's data, but keeping it going with the current data made for pretty accurate res...

Firewatch I just played this and enjoyed it a lot, there were a couple of reactions over the radio where my dialogue created kind of 'off' reactions that I felt were a little unwarranted given the options I had, but generally it was a believable dialogue. Not super-long, five hours for me. The endi...

Butter Chicken was actually Indian? I'm genuinely surprised. Anyone ever fancied cooking the stuff from Warcraft? Now you can! I hope it has haunted herring, scorpid surprise and gooey spider cake. The pics on Amazon look a bit weak compared to some fan-made creations I've seen. http://www.gourmetg...
