The 5970 is two 5870's on one board. I'm not sure why they dropped the x2 ending. Is there a 5890 on sale? Either I was just being a mong, or I'm still traumatised from my trip to the Chinese computer market yesterday... I meant the 5970. Oh, and pictures will have to wait - the quick snap I took w...

Case, SATA backplanes and PSU are bought. Piccies later. Most of the rest of the parts will have to wait until the end of the month when I get a trip to Hong Kong, though :( Mobo-wise I'm thinking Asus P6X58D Premium , HDD-wise I'm thinking 160GB Intel X25M G2 ... anyone have any other ideas? Oh, an...

Multimon/projector Question (aka spec me a new PC, bitches!)

Hello again, bummers. I'm back. So, I've finally decided to pull the trigger on a new PC for home/office/entertainment. I will therefore be scouring the local PC emporia for a Lian-Li PC-A77B ... the rest of the parts I'm not so sure about, other than a proper Core i7, lots of RAM, a brace of Radeon...

Re: Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

When I went to see Brokeback after it had been out for a good month and a half, several people walked out as soon as they got jiggy the first time... this was a very publicised thing about this film ffs! What did they expect?! In fairness, it might have been the sight of you masturbating like a saf...

Among other things, static. should i put more thermal compound on the processor/heatsink? it has some on already but it isn't a huge amount, its kind of three strips NO. Might as well just spend the extra money (which would probably translate to about £500 knowing the way things are priced in the UK) on a better laptop. Unless you can't get the functionality you need in any laptop, which could well be the case for several of the applications they've listed. Also, m...
